Ronald Dustin
 

Ronald DustinRonald B. Dustin is the former president and CEO of Dustin Construction, Inc., Commercial General Contractor. He founded the firm in 1985 after serving as a partner and then as president of his family's general contracting firm, Jesse Dustin & Son, General Contractor - Residential and Commercial, where he had worked since the 1950s. Though Dustin retired from the construction industry in January 2001, he is still active on University of Maryland University College's Board of Visitors.

Dustin's leadership extends far beyond the construction industry and reaches deep into his community. During the late 1950s, he organized and coached three baseball teams of different age groups. Dustin has held several leadership positions in the Burkittesville Ruritan Club, where he has been a member since 1966, and he is a past member of the Montgomery County Jaycees and the Colesville Lions Club.

Church involvement is central to Dustin's life. His leadership in his Baptist church began in 1967 when he became a deacon and a Sunday school teacher, duties he continues today. Since 1979, he has been a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Frederick County, Maryland, and has chaired various church groups over the years, including the personnel committee, pastor search committee, youth department, deacon board, and building committee. He also serves as a trustee for the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware.

Dustin, who attended the University of Maryland from 1956 to 1957, has been married for 47 years to his wife, Shirley. They have five children and 12 grandchildren.
